Nolato Vermont Night Kicks Off 9th Annual Myers Container Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series
/Barre, VT – With the support of Nolato Vermont, with facilities located in Royalton and Bethel, Thunder Road International Speedbowl is back in action this Thursday, June 19 headlined by the starting round in the 9th annual Myers Container Service Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series! The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers will headline Nolato Vermont night coming off of four already spectacular events, Thursday’s extra-distance showdown is expected to be just as exciting!
In eight previous editions, the Myers Container Service Triple Crown has proven to be one of the most competitive series in Thunder Road history. Eight different Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger drivers have catapulted into championship contention in this three-race series with number nine expected to be no different. Already in 2025 there have been four different winners in four events, often described as ‘North America’s Number One Support Division,’ the Flying Tigers have been on a roll so far and with 75 laps on the board this Thursday it’s still anyone’s game!
Smooth consistency has kept Barre’s Jason Corliss atop the Maplefields/Irving Oil Late Model standings with Marcel Gravel slipping back a bit in second. Joining Corliss and Gravel, the former King of the Road cream is rising to the top with Scott Dragon and Stephen Donahue having strong podium runs last Thursday and Chris Pelkey copying Corliss’ consistency to keep himself in contention during this early stage. In the hunt for his first championship, Brandon Lanphear sits in third overall and will be looking to better that standing and take the Nolato Vermont trophy dash this Thursday.
Defending rk Miles Street Stock champion Dean Switser, Jr. has been putting on a clinic so far in his title defense, currently leading fellow former champion Jamie Davis by thirty-one points. Switser has kept his predictable talent of driving up through the tight four-cylinder field, defying his back-of-the-pack handicap week in and week out to finish among the top five in all four events this season. Davis, Nate ‘Tater’ Brien, Kyle MacAskill and Kyler Davis are just a few among the Street Stock faithful looking to dethrone the king on Nolato Vermont night.
After a week off for rest and recuperation, the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors return on Nolato Vermont night with everyone seeking Thursday Night glory at Thunder Road!
