Milwaukee Tools, Nelson ACE Continues Support for Thunder Road Crew Chiefs
/Barre, VT – With the ink just drying, Thunder Road officials are excited to announce the continued partnership with Barre’s Nelson ACE Hardware and the Milwaukee Tools brand at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. Milwaukee Tools through Nelson ACE will support the hardworking crews and crew chiefs of Thunder Road’s racers with a weekly Crew or Crew Chief of the Week award and a special season ending prize to boot!
Nelson ACE Hardware has been a Barre City staple since 1983 with Carrol and Sarah Nelson and their son Bob opening the doors forty-two years ago! After the conclusion of the season, a deserving Crew Chief will receive a Milwaukee Tool set courtesy of Nelson ACE Hardware for their season-long efforts at Thunder Road!

Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl will now kick off the 66th season of racing on Sunday, May 25 with the 62nd Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic. The 125-lap Memorial Day Classic kicks off the King of the Road track championship season for the Maplefields/Irving Late Models alongside the annual visit from the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series! The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors join the holiday special for a five-division showdown.
